We are looking forward to a busy weekend at the ‘Animal Park’.
Our new arrivals include a lovely little Squirrel Monkey and a pair of Capybara, both of which arrived at the animal park on 20th April 2010.
Capybaras are the largest living rodents in the world and are native to South America. Both males and females can make wonderful pets and companions, and full grown adults generally range from 75lbs to 150lbs, but some individual animals have been weighed in as high as 250lbs. Their disposition and personalities are somewhat like a cross between a guinea pig and domestic dog. They can be very playful, affectionate and can even be leash trained if worked with from a young age.
